I Had a Grey Day

Some gray days you forget there was anything other than Grey Days
The streets filled up with dust when forever was today was a year ago
Someone’s sermonizing on a front porch.
Lips drawn out hips low
Sometimes you forget where you’ve been until someone asks you What Day was your
Best Day?
Not your Favorite Night your
Best Day
Was it at the carnival
when you were seven years old
suddenly you say
OH
but
 ive had so many.
IVE HAD SO MANY!
you can have them TOO!
Here, let me pile them on
(I swear you wishes will come true)
whispering your fairy angel friend in
Dimples and glitter that isn’t really glitter but
More like futurized sand
Glinting and
Squinting in the sun.
Getting back to it
I’ll pile on you scenes still
Dripping wet paint from the frontal lobe
Or wherever they house those.
Many millions of light years away
Sparklin’ statics, and honey dripping, and steepin’ in sound.
Spinnin’ like a carnival round and round
